Another character from my good friend Ian Gray’s web comic, Undreamt! Jade Lawgood, streetwise badass with kickin’ shoulder gear. Used some smoke brushes by http://falln-brushes.deviantart.com/.
Gone is the golden age of comics! Adventure Time, it’s up to you to save us all! :0

Good news, everyone! (Nerd test: did you read that in your head as Professor Farnsworth? Congratulations, you’re a nerd! :D Have a cookie.)
Right, so the good news: me and my good friend Ian Gray have decided to team up and make comics together! He is an amazing storyteller (and also a killer DM!) and so he will be writing my script for To Build a Rocket Ship! Now that we’re splitting the workload, it looks like TBaRS will probably launch at the beginning of 2013! I hope you’re excited. I’m excited!
Anyway, I will also be doing art for Ian’s other creative projects; here’s a start! Miranda Tempest from Ian’s hilarious and whimsical webcomic, Undreamt. Check it ouuuuuut! More to come!
In this first vlog for the Peruvian Indy band Humanimals, I sit down with the lead singer and good friend, Adele Fournet, to talk about the art of Humanimals and my upcoming 2013 webcomic! Shout out to my awesome writer, Ian James Gray!
Here’s some 10 and 20-minute sketches from last night’s Dr Sketchy’s SF at YBCA with the sextastic Mistress Marla Spanks! :D Enjoy
Just a technical pen drawing of an awesome building in a hidden little park in SF. I am rocking the crow quill, y’all!
I’m back!!! And I have an art for you!
Sorry for the lack of posts; my illustration classes with the wonderful Patrick McEvoy have been going swimmingly— it took a few weeks of tweaking and learning new techniques, but behold!—the fruits of my labor. Janie and a very squidley beast!
Using some awesome new Photoshop brushes by David Nagel, playing around with crow quill pens, experimenting with flatting and using knockout lines. It’s far from perfect, but I’m proud of it nonetheless. :)
Phew, it’s been a while but I’m finally uploading something!! WITH TENTACLES!!! The inked version shall follow forthwith, pip pip!
Exciting news for me—tomorrow I’m beginning to take one-on-one lessons with the talented and indominable Patrick McEvoy! I met him last year at WonderCon (Curse you Anaheim!!!) and my bf and I are big fans of his podcast Ninja Mountain. I’m super excited to be working with a professional freelance artist who’s done so many cool projects and worked for some great companies! It should also mean there will be a lot more baller art on this tumblr in the coming weeks. GET AT ME!
